“I love  experimenting with different angles and poses whilst shooting too and smartphone photography really encourages this. Smartphones are able to take numerous photos so quickly that you have the chance to experiment more and play around within the shoot. Asking models to stand or lie in what may seem as the most ridiculous poses can work out to be the best images. Don’t be afraid to do the images you want to do! In this shoot, for example, I really wanted to capture an image of my model lying on the grass in an almost collapsed position. I was continuing my story surrounding the ‘perfect day’ post lockdown where all we would want to do is to stretch out and be free outdoors after the months we have been confined to our houses. It was a strange request to ask my model to just lie down, flat out on the grass, but it turned out to be one of my favourite images. Communicating with your models is essential; I always bring my mood boards with me and explain the story behind the editorial before we begin to shoot.”
